Here’s the latest trailer to The Dark Knight Rises.
You know, in case you’ve been living under a damned rock.

Childish Gambino must be taking his time with releasing the mixtape, by releasing this sample of sorts first, because he doesn’t think we can handle that amount of dopeness at once.
So here’s a preview of the awesomeness to come. I’m really liking the emphasis on rapping vs. singing, after CAMP. I much prefer straight verses, especially when he goes in hard. CAMP, while I loved it, was a different Gambino from the EP and Culdesac. It was a nice change of pace, but I have to say, he’s back and he’s moving onto bigger and better things.
Michael Francis-The Dive
So I was on a quest for some music similar to one of my favorite artists,The Weeknd, and I stumbled across this guy.
Through his official site, here, you can request an advanced copy of his album Cold Heart Chronicles. Great, great album.
Francis goes in with a sort of raw, unfiltered emotion that is apparent with his vocals. The tracks in the back seem to have this heavy, looming feeling which only seem to intensify the songs even more. A good example of this is seen in, Make Love, which is another favorite of mine off the album.
Whatever you do, if you enjoy the stylings of The Weeknd or Frank Ocean, definitely email in the request for this album. I got a link with the download in about a day.
It took me quite some time before I actually fully grasped the meaning of that…trope.
It’s actually something I did and still do, to a lesser degree now.
Growing up I was pretty damn shy and I think I’ve come a long ways since then. I always saw people who were outgoing and envied their ability to permeate the groups around them and just roll from person to person. I thought their confidence was unattainable at the time.
Once I started getting older, I think I just got frustrated and tried to force myself to be confident. I faked it, essentially. I just tried to mimic the people who had what I wanted, until it started to feel natural. I think that’s just the way it goes with any kind of change; you feel weird being out of your comfort zone until you redefine your comfort zone.
It’s hard to point to a singluar moment where things changed for the better. (And when I say better, I don’t mean confidence=outgoing. That’s just what it was for me. I wanted to be more outgoing.) But some important tidbits I’ve picked up along the way:
I don’t know for who or what this will help. But I figured I could offer up what little wisdom I have, as it’s been shared with me.
MeLo-X: White (Gentrification Mix)
So, I found this guy in one of my “music-acquisition-binges,” and he’s pretty chill. I don’t know if he does any original tracks, but all I’ve come across has been remixes—but I’m not complaining.
He did throw an original verse into Frank Ocean’s White, from The OF TAPE VOL. 2, which you should know I’m a big fan of. Anyways, enjoy this guy.
He lives up to his, MeLo (mellow).
Starting to need a vacation from this vacation…so I guess I’m looking forward to be back at school?
I don’t know. I’m just tired.

This is a pretty damn awesome.
Also, it’s saturday. THANK THE HEAVENS
OFWGKTA- Ned Flanders
wat.
SO DAMN FUNNY.
Props to this guy.
…and I thought I was done with these videos.
I needed a new show after getting caught up on Breaking Bad.
So many episodes to keep me busy.

Kendrick Lamar- A.D.H.D.
Kendrick Lamar has been getting a lot of hype this last year as one of the best up and coming artists in rap.
I don’t know if I would’ve agreed necessarily (partly because I’ve found a number of artists I like) mostly because I’d only heard Rigarmortis and the remix featuring Busta Rhymes.
But in this last week I got the album he put out and am starting to respect him more and more. This track in particular is an odd favorite of mine, because I although I don’t use any drugs, there’s something entrancing about the song that seems to be universal.
I guess you could say it serves a way of replicating the experiences the way I imagine them to be, but in an audible way.
I love this episode of Regular Show called Rap It Up.
It features two of two favorite artists, including Childish Gambino and Tyler, the Creator.
Enjoy.
